Hong Kong is a city which is a far cry away from that of Spessart in Germany. Spessart is set in mountains and offers views of landscapes and scenery which is green, pleasant and peaceful. The Buddha itself is 34 meters in height and weights 250 tonnes, it was unveiled to the puplic in 1993 after taking ovr 10 years to complete. People who visit the structure have to climb up 268 steps before reaching the platform where the Buddha is sat. This monument attracts people from all over the world, as does the Peak in Hong Kong. The Peak offers visitors and tourists a unique opportunity to look down on the Hong Kong skyline and the chance to see Victoria Harbour in all its glory. There is a tram which travels up to the peak and takes visitors on a daily basis, the tram is pulled along by huge steel cables and ascends 373 meters to the top. The journey on the tram is amazing as is the view from the Peak.
